Orangestar was originally founded in 1947 by The Solomon and Post families as a residential home builder, developing single and multi-family homes for buyers in the Midwest and the Mid-Atlantic region. Orangestar and its family of companies have expanded into new markets and geographies, leveraging over 70 years of real estate and energy market expertise. Orangestar’s real estate services include Acquisitions and Development, Asset and Property Management, Brokerage and Receivership Services, Loan Purchases and Restructuring, Private Equity and Structured Investments, and Energy. Energy services include Upstream/Exploration of Natural Gas, Mid-Stream Management, and various JV structures.

Orangestar’s Acquisitions and Development teams possess several decades of hands-on real estate acquisition experience, valuable knowledge throughout multiple US markets and an impressive network of relationships with real estate professionals and property owners, lenders and capital sources. This depth of expertise provides Orangestar with a distinct competitive advantage whether we’re looking at the acquisition of an existing property or the development of a new property.

Our hands-on approach minimizes investment risk by thoroughly managing each stage of the due diligence process, which includes determining the optimal capital structure, detailed expense and operating cost reviews, critical supply and demand analysis within our selected markets and submarkets, and evaluations of macroeconomic factors that could affect real estate markets around the country.

Our expert knowledge in the field of asset and property management includes portfolio performance measurement, business planning, budgeting and implementation, and asset valuation reviews. The team at Orangestar is able to leverage its generational expertise in real estate development and capital markets when analyzing multiple restructuring and valuation scenarios, repositioning and conducting the sale of foreclosed assets.

Orangestar seeks out private equity investments that achieve high returns without excessive risks. Our team provides early stage and seed money for entrepreneurs either through direct investments or funding vehicles across various industries outside of real estate including wineries and vineyards, technology, energy, and medical devices, among others. Orangestar also participates in the Valley Growth Venture fund, a “micro” venture capital investment fund created to support high-growth, early-stage companies across the state of Ohio.
